My dream wedding?
We were in search of a venue that can handle a 150 person guests list in the LA area on a extreme budget. I Had a thought on a location but deeply felt like it was going to be stretch. ‘Hey babe, how do you feel about doing it in a garage where they build famous race cars? She quickly replaced with a ‘Hell yah!’ We immediately picked a date and booked it for our wedding venue.
This Venue is where they use to house all of Carroll Shelby’s personal car collection, host automotive shows, and now–more recently, is where the original team that built the original GT350 Mustangs are building 36 of the cars again. This is a special place in automotive history and where the wedding was held.
Budget: We had a 10k budget for venue, food, decorations, entertainment, DJ, Photo/Video team for a 150 guests list
The Concept: Italian & Jewish family style meets ‘GoodFellas’ the movie.
On the menu:
Appetizers: Italian charcuterie, latkes, pickled goods
Dinner: Catered Sandwiches by Bay Cities Italian Deli & Wexlers.
Sides: pickles, sauerkraut, coleslaw, potato salad, and various sauces
Dessert: Tiramisu by Bay Cities and Lemon Meringue Pie by Marie Callenders.
